Stop Solar Farms In Residential Areas And On Farmland

We are NOT trying to stop ALL solar farms.

However we do believe they should not be built next to or in view of residential houses, on prime farm land, in areas that will cause soil erosion or have an adverse effect on wildlife, streams or anywhere else that would interfere with the natural scenic beauty of our countryside.

Our goal is to offer information to the general public, in order to assist them in stopping solar farms in residential neighborhoods. We want to provide information that will show individuals and local groups how other neighborhoods sucessfully stopped the development of solar farms around residential homes, even if those homes are in rural areas.

We are also looking for attorneys throughout the country that are willing to stand up to the developers, zoning boards, other local officials as well as the state and federal officials that are offering tax breaks, grants or any other forms of financial incentives.

In order to stop solar farms from being built in certain neighborhoods, we are trying to organize a grass roots coalition to remove any elected official that supports the development of solar farms in residential areas.

This is our country and we need to unite. Lets stand up TOGETHER and fight for our rights NOW before it is to late.

In order to stop solar farms in residential areas, we are sharing some facts that will help give us hope for our future.

According to a Michigan State University engineering researcher and his team, only 1.5 percent of electricity is generated by solar power.

If companies, banks and governments insist on spending billions of dollars on solar farms, we believe there are more viable locations that could be used for solar farms, such as old coal mines, gravel pits, airports, in the middle of a desert, ocean or even in space.

Japan’s space agency, JAXA, is working to put into orbit a orbital solar farm that can generate power 24 hours a day. The solar space station would beam down energy as microwaves to a human-made island covered with antennas. http://www.kenkai.jaxa.jp/eng/research/ssps/ssps-index.html

The Benban Solar Park is a part of Egypt’s Nubian Suns Feed-in-Tariff program, a major initiative that influences private sector capital and expertise to support its goal of generating 20% electricity from renewable resources by 2022.

The project is expected to provide cost-effective and eco-friendly power to over 350,000 residents in the country. According to a report by NREA, with an estimated total cost of $3.5 billion to $4 billion, Benban will be the world’s largest photovoltaic park. https://www.forbesmiddleeast.com/industry/energy/banks-invest-653-million-build-worlds-largest-solar-park-egypt
